During our visit to the Berjaya Langkawi Beach Resort in 2022, I finally had the chance to capture photos that go with the memories I already made on our honeymoon there in 2016. This private beach is a big part of why we want to return to Langkawi at least once every five years or so.
The picture-perfect sand, the little beach bar, the turquoise water. The thrill of “danger” of monkeys stealing your belongings while you’re in the water. The excitement of squeaking otters that sometimes run through the beach from the mangrove to the ocean.
I can get very lazy when I go on holidays, like actual holidays and not photo trips. So I’ve spent countless hours on this beach, reading numerous books and chugging down the content of several young coconuts.

On the right, somewhat hidden by the palm trees, is the lobby of the Berjaya Langkawi Beach Resort. This is also where the pool area is. So even if one doesn’t feel like jumping into the salty sea water, one can enjoy lying on the beach and refreshing in the pool instead.
Okay, now the only problem with capturing this is that I want to book a trip back to Langkawi every time I see these photos.
