Europe Rising | 2016 - ?

Europe Rising is a tribute to the continent photographer Nico Trinkhaus calls home — not just by birth, but by heart.
Each image in the series was captured at sunrise, as Europe awakens: quiet streets, golden light, no people, just place.

The project began as a response to Brexit-led division, evolving into a celebration of unity through diversity, and regional identity within connection. It reflects what unites us, what sets us apart, and the quiet beauty of rising together.

Upon completion, Europe Rising aims to feature photographs from every region of Europe — and at the very least, from every member state of the European Union.
