Bosco Verticale | Milan, Italy

Milano Bosco Verticale (“Vertical Forest”) in Italy.

The Bosco Verticale“The Vertical Forest” was one of the most unique buildings I had ever seen in Milan. There were 900 trees, 5,000 shrubs and 11,000 floral plants that had been imbedded against the two towers. The towers were built in this style, to reduce smog and increase oxygen levels.

What a brilliant way of connecting nature and the city!

One tower is 111 meters tall and the second is 76 meters tall and both are located in the Porta Nuova District in Milan. Isn’t it just the modern dream to work and live here! It is the economical centre of Milan and is why The Bosco Verticale buildings stood out so much for me. I have to say though, it is a perfect symbol of having a great work-life balance.

This was an eye-opening experience for me, to hopefully see the buildings of future cities.

Do you know of any other places in the world where trees are grown against buildings?
