Panorama

Mountain Panorama | Sofia, Bulgaria
There is only one thing better than capturing a panoramic photo of a capital with mountains in the background. What would you say it is? It’s having a restaurant on top of that building, enjoying some wine and seeing the sky light up. Sofia – Bulgaria’s capital appears to be in the perfect place for such evenings.
Panorama from St George Castle | Lisbon, Portugal
This old castle, São Jorge, is likely one of the oldest, historical sites to visit in Lisbon. The hill that Saint George Castle is situated on, was previously inhabited by the Celtic tribe, the Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians and Romans. This site was built in the 10th century as a protection against invading groups; the first walls were built in order to do this. Centuries later, the castle survived through many earthquakes, sieges and even the ever-changing rulers.
Panorama from Storkower Straße | Berlin, Germany
This was an unusual spot to capture photos of the Berlin panorama. I had a meeting with a fellow photographer, when it started pouring down with rain and after just a few moments of hesitation, we finally decided to try and take some photos to see what would happen. We made an appointment at Storkower Straße from which you can see the skyline of Berlin; with the TV Tower majestically prevailing the line of the horizon.
Sunset Panorama | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
No doubt when in Kuala Lumpur, I wanted to capture the typical skyline with The Petronas Towers during blue hour and by turning around 180° degrees – I could just enjoy this beautiful sunset. This photo was taken from one of the balconies of The Sail Building, where we stayed during our visit to Kuala Lumpur. The upper floor was a pure paradise for us – external swimming pools, a gym area and an almost 360° degree view on the
Panorama | Nicosia, Cyprus
There are not many areas in Nicosia that allowed for a real panoramic capture of the city. Fortunately for us, we managed to find one… The Shacolas Museum and Observatory is located on Ledra Street – exactly in the heart of the Southern part of Nicosia in Cyprus. We had to pay an entrance fee, but the views were so worth it. We were able to see the Capital at an almost 360˚degree angle.
Podgorica Panorama | Montenegro
From many points in the city, you can see the dark lines of the Montenegrin Mountains – these are typical “elements” for the city skyline. Naturally then, they had to have their “place” shown in my photograph, when I wanted to capture the living area of the capital of Montenegro. I was delighted about the composition of the contrast of nature, politics and our modern days.
Panoramic view of Singapore Marina at sunrise | Singapore
There is one peculiarity about this region of the world – the blue and golden hours are very short there. In other words, both sunset and sunrise are gone in 30 minutes. So, I had very short time in which to capture the perfect panoramic view of Singapore Marina. Regarding this particular image, I think I was very lucky taking it – after only one shot the golden light that you see was already gone.
Kotor panorama – daylight | Kotor, Montenegro
Why choose this Adriatic Sea port for a holiday or vacation? Probably because of the nature – you have the Kotor Bay, surrounded by mountains which height ranges from 1000m to 1700m. Additionally, those of you, who like medieval culture and history, would really appreciate the well-preserved Kotor Old Town and the Fortifications.
The Panathenaic Stadium – a marble miracle | Athens, Greece
As a person who likes big sporting events very much, I find this marble stadium simply amazing. I guess that all fans of the Olympic games and their history, would love to see the impressive Panathenaic Stadium in Athens with their own eyes. ‘The marble stadium’ is the only one stadium in the world, built entirely of marble. It should be noted that the opening and closing ceremonies of the first modern Olympic games in 1896 were held there.
Athens – a romantic sunset seen from the Lycabettus Hill | Athens, Greece
With its 277 meters, Lycabettus Hill is the tallest hill in the capital of Greece. That’s why, when you go at the top, you can see some of the Athens’ most popular monuments – the Acropolis, the Temple of Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium. When you climb the Lycabettus Hill, you will see the charming St. George’s church, built in the 19th century. Best thing is that you could continue enjoying the view on your way down.
Athens – ancient Greek city of marble in a modern world | Athens, Greece
That breath-taking view of the capital and largest city of Greece could touch any heart, I think. At least that happened with me and with all the people around me, who were enchanted by the spectacular panorama of Athens at sunset. This photo was taken from Lycabettus hill while I was waiting for sun to set and shoot photos of Parthenon hill.
Acropolis of Athens – panorama view with Parthenon Temple | Athens, Greece
The Acropolis view was the first one which greet us in Athens. This hill with remains of Parthenon temple is visible from almost every point of the city. The Acropolis of Athens is situated on a rock that rises around 150m above sea level. If you’ve been to the capital of Greece, you know how stunning it is to see it from anywhere, day and night.
Skyline | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
During our trip to Asia we were lucky enough to spend a couple of days in the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The capital of the country has a lot to offer, but the view from the balcony of the apartment we stayed in, was my favourite by far. Thanks to the small city village of Kampung Baru we had an unspoiled view of the impressive Skyline of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which looked different every time we looked at it.
Nyhavn | Copenhagen, Denmark
Originally the branch canal Nyhavn was trenched in 1673 to connect the marketplace Kongens Nytorv to the busy port of Copenhagen in order to boost the trade. Even though Nyhavn never went on to be a big port, due to its limited size and capacity it still led to a lot of businessmen settling down along the promenade. The typical colorful gabled houses were mostly built in the 18th and 19th century and are one of the most important sights
Independence Day | Bratislava, Slovakia
As the heavens opened up a bit and the UFO was illuminated in the orange light, it seemed to me as if I saw a version of the famous scene from the movie Independence Day – live in Bratislava. Surely, soon the first laser beams would appear across the Danube and raze the city to the ground…
A Golden Day in the Golden City | Prague, Czech Republic
My alarm went off at 3:30am, because before the sunrise I wanted to photograph the empty alleys. But when I arrived at the main entrance to Prague Castle, I was surprised when I saw it closed. Somehow I had assumed you could enter the castle yard at any time – yep, apparently not. Well, I started running the castle hill back down, through the streets of Malá Strana and then at the vineyards up again to the Prague Castle. No
London Docklands | England
The London Docklands, once the largest port in the world, are now a vibrant financial center. The skyscrapers of Canary Wharf can be seen from all over the city but the direct view over the Thames you can enjoy from Greenwich. For a long time I wanted to try to make an HDR panorama. Overall, the finished work is composed of 28 individual images, 4 segments each with 7 exposures.
City Palace | Potsdam, Germany
The reconstruction of the City palace, and in the same time building for the Brandenburg parliament, was finished a few months ago. Apparently, there has been a long discussion whether the palace should be rebuilt or not. And as so often, there are a lot of critics. I can only say: Awesome! Love it!
