It’s more controversial to say this in 2023 than it would have been in 2013: Visiting Trump Tower was a must-do for me when visiting Manhattan for the first time.
I still remember watching “The Apprentice” with Donald Trump in 2010. Or better, binge-watching it. Before that, my dad was gifting me a book “Think Big and Kick Ass” by Donald Trump.
Well, so here I was reading about the Trump Tower, his first skyscraper and seeing it on television. Studying business myself, I was for sure taking it as some kind of inspiration.
Fast forward ten years and everything around the Trump brand has become such a talking point; it’s incredible to see. I guess for five years at least, the word “Trump” was the easiest way to start any argument.
I won’t get into politics here. I’m not American, so may the American citizens elect whoever they wish. But I needed to take this photo of the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, as this got into my head way before Trump got into politics and made his bid for the presidency.
In this photo, I tried to capture both subjects simultaneously, the tower and the iconic Trump Tower Clock. I love how the gold, the tower, the clock and the American flag come together.
Of course, I also took a photo of the tower’s interior. But for this, you need to wait until tomorrow!
