Did you know that you can pass 25 de Abril Bridge on foot only when you participate in half marathon in Lisbon? The route for the half-marathon was even changed so that runners can pass Tagus river. The marathon starts on the south bank and finishes in the north bank (in Belem district).

And now a bit more about the Tagus riverbank as a place to actually move. With Nico we are almost daily walking our 10 000 steps in the area of Belem. Our usual goal is to reach 25 de Abril Bridge and back. It is helping us to clear our mind after work and have some fresh air or view on Tagus while sunset. There are though a bit more active people on the river. It seems that the pathway along the Lisbon coast in this area is THE place to run. There are also many people exercising on the meadows around or playing paddle on the courts located just under the 25 de Abril Bridge.
I think Nico perfectly captured the spirit of the bank of Tagus river under the bridge. It almost motivates to run there. If only there would not be also so many restaurants on the way…
