This photo was taken by a chance. We were traveling with Daria to Benijo Beach north of Tenerife and while crossing by car Anaga mountains this view appeared to us. We couldn’t resist and we stopped the car on the side of very winding road to catch in photograph the moment when the clouds were passing the valley and the sun urged to go through them.
Exploring Tenerife Island
We visited Tenerife, Spain in November 2016. At that time I wasn’t a very experienced driver. So, you can imagine how nervous I was, driving on a road that twists and turns almost all the time. We pulled over many times, not only because we were enticed by the cozy rural restaurants there, but also to take photos of the beauty that surrounded us.
Anaga Mountains in Tenerife, Spain
Macizo de Anaga or Anaga mountain range is located in the northeastern part of the Tenerife Island. This is the largest and therefore most populated island of the seven Canary Islands. The highest point is Cruz de Taborno with 1,024m of height. UNESCO has announced the mountain range as a Biosphere Reserve.
Although we experienced our journey to the spectacular Anaga Mountains in Tenerife at the end of November, the sun was shining all the time and the temperature reached 20oC. As a guy from Berlin who adores taking photos, I appreciated that very much.
