This photo of Rua Alexandre de Sá Pinto in Lisbon is Part III of a three-piece series of “My Daily Walk in Lisbon”.
It’s the street that leads me directly toward the bridge that takes me to the rooftop of the MAAT Museum. Normally, it’s busy with pupils. Not only do you have two schools on Rua Alexandre de Sá Pinto: Escola Marquês de Pombal and Colégio Nuno Álvares Pereira. No, in one of the side streets, you also have the entrance to the design faculty of Lusíada University.
On weekends? Football games on one of Portugal’s oldest pitches.
So usually, when I go on my daily walks through the Lisbon districts of Ajuda and Belém, I find this street not as quiet as in the picture. But when I found myself in this scene, with this stunning light, I was happy to have my phone with me to capture it. And while I was at it, the idea of creating a little series “My Daily Walk in Lisbon” was born.
I hope you enjoyed this three-piece series. Here are Part I and Part II.
