This photo from the MAAT Rooftop in Lisbon is Part II of a three-piece series of “My Daily Walk in Lisbon”.
For me, the quickest way to reach the Tagus River is to cross the rooftop of the MAAT Museum. Thankfully when they built the museum, they made the roof accessible and even built a bridge to it so you could cross the train tracks and the Avenida Brasília.
From the rooftop, you don’t only have one of the best views of the Lisbon Bridge. You can also enjoy the little garden that surrounds it. Yes, inside MAAT, you find art. But frankly, I’m always impressed by how much love and effort the gardeners put into the plants that grow on the rooftop.
So on this beautiful sunny day, equipped with only my phone, I tried to get some perspective I wouldn’t usually get with my DSLR camera. With the phone, you take angles that are harder to capture with the big camera. And that’s precisely what I did here: Leaning myself over the rail, extending my arm and getting an angle to the MAAT Rooftop Garden. A photo that I never could have captured with my Nikon.
