This Amphitheatre in the cultural village of Katara (Doha) is an architectural cultural blend. The Katara Amphitheatre was built on the model of a Greek theatre. However, this is not where the imagination of the creator ended. If you look at some of the elements of the theatre you will notice references to the traditional buildings of Qatar.
The Katara Amphitheatre was built in 2008. However, the official inauguration took place only in 2011. The theatre is 3,275 square metres in size and can seat five thousand spectators.
