We visited Aspire Zone in Doha to see the Khalifa National Stadium and the famous Villagio Mall with its Venetian canals. However, the first sight when we went out of the metro station that positively surprised us was the view of the Aspire Tower.
Aspire Tower, also known as The Torch Doha, is a 300-meter high tower located in the “Aspire Zone”. It was built back in 2006 and became the focal point of the 15th Asian Games hosted by Qatar in December that year.
The Torch Doha houses a hotel, sports museum, swimming pool, health club, restaurant, and observation point. Unfortunately for the day, we were in the area we didn’t book a time to visit the Aspire Tower. But we’re treating it as the next on our list of reasons why we should return to Qatar.
