What’s your favorite Skyline in Europe? Paris’s Eiffel Tower? Budapest’s unique Parliament building? Or maybe Copenhagen’s Christiansborg Palace?
I went to nine European capitals last year and what I loved most about visiting Europe was the diversity of cultures, especially in such a narrow region. Just a hop on a plane for an hour and you will find yourself in an entirely different world. Personally, I find that wherever I go, I always try to find a view from the top. To see the city in its entirety – like here in Copenhagen is always breathtaking.
The view in the photo above is from Christiansborg Palace, the seat of Danish Parliament. This palace is also the Danish Prime Minister’s Office and home of the Supreme Court of Denmark. Some of the rooms are also used by the monarchs.
Since 2014, the central tower of Christiansborg Palace has been opened to the public. Entrance is free and since the sun was setting, we didn’t hesitate to climb up. The view was indeed stunning, as we had initially thought from the beginning.
I just adore capturing bird’s eye perspective views of cities! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
