Rudolfův Pramen (Rudolph’s Spring) | Mariánské Lázně, Czech Republic

The Springs at Mariánské Lázně has proved to be a growing and popular destination through the centuries, for the greatest community of people from Europe’s history. To name few: Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Frédéric Chopin, Thomas Edison, Richard Wagner or Prince Friedrich of Saxony, King Edward VII of the United Kingdom and The Russian Czar Nicholas II.

Capturing a healing spring

Those dwelling in this area where the springs at Mariánské Lázně (Marienbad) was situated, held beliefs of healing from many diseases. This particular Spring in the photo above – Rudolfův pramen (Rudolph’s Spring) contains high amounts of calcium. It is believed that it can heal any urinal problems?.

If you have the opportunity to visit this Czech SPA town, be very mindful which spring you drink from. For example, the Ambrose’s springs carries the legend that if a person drinks water from it, in that same year that individual would find their perfect other half.
