Ledra Street In The Centre Of Nicosia | Cyprus

Ledra Street in the Centre of Nicosia, the Capital of Cyprus.
Ledra Street in Nicosia

Ledra Street and Onasagorou Street are the beating hearts of Nicosia – the capital of Cyprus. A typical area filled with visitors ready to enjoy some Meze, during the early hours of the morning provided a very peaceful and serene atmosphere.

Perfect for a sunrise photo

The street name stems from an ancient city-kingdom Ledra, which was established around 1050 BC – where Nicosia was later built. Today, this region is shared between both the Southern and Northern part of Cyprus with a border passing between.

This was where we spent most of our time while enjoying Meze – typical Cypriot small dishes, which were some of the main attractions for us. If you’re ever in this capital, don’t miss these authentic delicacies! If you would like to see this area at its quietest along with its dream-like surroundings, be sure to visit around sunrise.
