The Gloriette ensemble located up on the hill and The Neptune Fountain are part of the park surrounding Schönbrunn Palace – a must-see in Vienna.
A romantic composition
On a hot evening in the month of June, we were hoping to find some shadows in the park around The Schönbrunn Palace. The sun was setting, and we had a bottle of Gruner Veltliner (typical Austrian White Wine) and we were heading to the meadows at the front of The Gloriette. I then, saw a couple sitting alone in the middle of The Neptune Fountain. A romantic composition I thought, immediately grabbing my camera from my backpack.
The outcome of this picture was more than what I had expected. The air on this day was hazy because of the heat, however, this haziness gave a glow to the marble statues on The Fountain and The Gloriette itself creating such a beautiful canvas.
