Skyline | Marina Bay, Singapore

During our journey to Malaysia we also stayed in the buzzing city of Singapore for a couple of nights. The impressive metropolis is also an island and city state and with a yearly visitor count of about 11 million it is one of the top ten most visited cities in the world. The 5.5 million residents, three official languages and many different ethnic and religious groups create a colourful city, which is well worth a visit. Lavishly decorated temples are located next to churches, statues and mosques. Also, the many cultural neighbourhoods, like Little India, Kampong Glam and Chinatown cater for a multicultural atmosphere which awaits its European visitors with many new and unusual experiences.

I had to capture this impressive architectural masterpiece

The Skyline of Singapore, as seen from the popular Marina Bay, is one of the most distinctive landmarks of this beautiful city. Obviously enough I had to capture this impressive architectural masterpiece. It seems like we also picked the perfect time for our visit, which fell right between the dry and the rain period; this meant that we didn’t have to hassle the typical mist and got to see some breathtaking cloud formations. That’s how this wonderful crystal clear image of the Skyline in Singapore was taken on a warm evening. It seems like the sun is peeking out of the seamless cloud cover to say good night to the skyscrapers one by one. A moment, which I will always treasure in good memory – a moment, which clearly demanded my camera to take a picture in order to make it last until the end of time.
