The lights of the Old Town Square | Prague, Czech Republic

Every trip to Prague is very close to our hearts, as it is also a trip right back into our past to the beginning of our time together.

A picture of a love memorie

While I was studying in Prague, I met Daria, who was also studying in the capital city of the Czech Republic and it’s where we fell in love. The view in the picture is the view from the building where we got married last November. It is usually very windy high up in this tower, which is why it was quite tricky to keep my camera steady. Due to the people around us, there wasn’t enough room to use a tripod, so I had to use my Gorillapod to mount the camera directly onto the railing.

The picture, which was taken during this adventurous camera placement, shows the Old Town Square while it is shining bright in the light of the night. The eye catcher in this picture is, without doubt, the Church of Our Lady before Tyn, which is with its two towers one of the most famous buildings in the golden city of Prague. The construction of this monumental gothic basilica started in the 14th century, but was not completed until the beginning of the 16th century. This church together with the entire Old City of Prague is included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites since 1992 and is always worth a visit.
