Adeus, Berlim! N\u00e3o, n\u00e3o te preocupes, n\u00e3o vou sair desta cidade t\u00e3o cedo. Mas a combina\u00e7\u00e3o da luz de fundo, do ICC e da Torre da R\u00e1dio lembra-me sempre das viagens que fiz fora de Berlim<\/a>. Seja de carro pela autoestrada ou de autocarro a partir da esta\u00e7\u00e3o central de autocarros ali ao virar da esquina \u2013 muitas vezes a viagem come\u00e7ava aqui, na extremidade ocidental de Berlim.<\/p>\n

O Centro Internacional de Congressos ICC, um dos maiores do mundo, fechou as portas desde 9 de abril. Para o fotografar uma \u00faltima vez, visitei a zona \u00e0 volta da Torre da R\u00e1dio logo ap\u00f3s ter captado o p\u00f4r-do-sol sobre o Est\u00e1dio Ol\u00edmpico<\/a> em mar\u00e7o. N\u00e3o se sabe ao certo por quanto tempo o ICC permanecer\u00e1 iluminado, uma vez que n\u00e3o existe um plano para a sua utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o futura. No entanto, \u00e9 certo que n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 utilizado para o fim a que se destinava anteriormente.<\/p>\n

A Torre da R\u00e1dio, com 368 metros de altura, \u00e9 a estrutura mais alta da Alemanha e a quarta estrutura independente mais alta da Europa. Foi constru\u00edda entre 1965 e 1969 e \u00e9 usada para transmitir sinais de FM e TV, al\u00e9m de abrigar miradouros e restaurantes.<\/p>\n

O ICC, inaugurado em 1979, foi constru\u00eddo para acolher grandes eventos, incluindo confer\u00eancias, concertos e feiras comerciais. Com o seu design futurista, rapidamente se tornou um marco ic\u00f3nico em Berlim. No entanto, o edif\u00edcio tem estado praticamente sem uso desde 2014 devido a problemas estruturais.<\/p>\n
