Como hoje se realizam as elei\u00e7\u00f5es para o Parlamento Europeu na Alemanha, tenho uma pequena contribui\u00e7\u00e3o a dar. Sei que muitos t\u00eam uma opini\u00e3o negativa sobre a Uni\u00e3o Europeia ou, especialmente, sobre o euro. Mas, mesmo assim, d\u00e1 para acreditar na alegria que sinto por poder viajar como viajo hoje? Sem tempos de espera na fronteira e sem ter de pedir um visto meses antes da viagem. Uma estadia Erasmus em Praga fez de mim um cidad\u00e3o europeu. A Daria p\u00f4de mudar-se da Pol\u00f3nia para Berlim<\/a> e come\u00e7ar a trabalhar aqui \u2013 sem precisar de obter quaisquer autoriza\u00e7\u00f5es, simplesmente assim.<\/p>\n

E quando, de repente, inesperadamente e sem ter planeado, me vi diante do grande s\u00edmbolo do euro no Banco Central Europeu, em Frankfurt<\/a>, fiquei com um pouco de pele de galinha. Como estudei economia, sei que se pode reclamar muito da moeda comum, mas n\u00e3o quero discutir isso aqui. Em vez disso, estou simplesmente feliz por poder votar hoje.<\/p>\n

O Banco Central Europeu (BCE) em Frankfurt<\/a> \u00e9 uma das institui\u00e7\u00f5es mais importantes da Uni\u00e3o Europeia. O seu principal objetivo \u00e9 manter a estabilidade dos pre\u00e7os na \u00e1rea do euro e salvaguardar a estabilidade financeira da zona euro. \u00c9 respons\u00e1vel pela emiss\u00e3o da moeda euro e pela gest\u00e3o da pol\u00edtica monet\u00e1ria da zona euro.<\/p>\n

A sede do BCE fica no bairro de Ostend, em Frankfurt, a uma curta dist\u00e2ncia do centro da cidade. O edif\u00edcio em si \u00e9 uma estrutura moderna e impressionante, com uma fachada de vidro que reflete o horizonte de Frankfurt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Para quem se interessa por economia ou finan\u00e7as, uma visita ao BCE pode ser uma experi\u00eancia fascinante. Os visitantes podem fazer uma visita guiada ao edif\u00edcio, que inclui uma visita \u00e0 sala de confer\u00eancias de imprensa do BCE e \u00e0 Eurotower, um arranha-c\u00e9us de 40 andares que tamb\u00e9m faz parte do complexo do BCE.<\/p>\n
