A Mina de Sal de Wieliczka e especialmente a Capela de Santa Kinga 101m abaixo do nível do solo são excepcionais. Uma sala enorme (465m² e 11m de altura) tão profunda no subsolo, iluminada por lustres e ornamentada com numerosas peças de arte. Mas a mais impressionante para mim foi o altar com várias centenas de anos feito de sal.
A Capela recebeu o nome de Santa Kinga da Polónia, que é também a padroeira dos mineiros do sal. E a Capela ainda é utilizada! Até 400 pessoas estão aptas para serviços religiosos, concertos ou mesmo casamentos.

St Kinga’s Chapel and the whole Wieliczka Salt mine are part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1978, inscribed as Wieliczka and Bochnia Royal Salt Mines. It was among the first 12 inscribed World Heritage Sites.
