The Teide Observatory is located exactly 2,390 meters over sea level. Getting the right conditions at Teide in Tenerife can be very tricky. This is due to the fact that on sea level, you actually have no idea how it is up there. The best way is to check the webcam on the observatory, and if it looks good – you can get into your car and drive up to more than 2000m above sea level.
