Antholzersee, translated Lake of Antholz in English, is the third largest Lake in South Tyrol. Surrounded by mountain peaks, it is one of the most picturesque places in the Dolomites which we saw. When we reached this viewing point, we almost felt overwhelmed by the silence and yeah… the fresh air, which at a height of 1642 meters over the sea level, was not so easy to breathe.

You will immediately notice when you’re in Misurina in the Dolomites, that the air will be unlike what you’ve ever experienced. The lake Misurina and its surroundings are believed to have good air for healing respiratory diseases. From our experience, we found that breathing 1754 meters above sea level wasn’t easy, but it may just be that the views were simply breath-taking.

The Bâtiment des Forces Motrices, also known as BFM in Geneva, is a building, which immediately put me under its spell. During an evening stroll through the second largest city in Switzerland the sumptuous illuminated building in the middle of the river Rhône caught my photographic eye in a heartbeat. The BFM was originally constructed between 1883 and 1892 as a hydroelectric power plant and was used as such until 1960.
