Been chasing autumn all week in the mountains around Manteigas — and while the valley gifted us fog, sun, and everything in between, there was one place where autumn didn’t just appear… it took over completely. Welcome to Rota das Faias a trail that becomes a glowing corridor of gold every October.

If you ever shoot in forests like this, here’s my biggest tip:
Backlight is everything.
Beech leaves turn into stained glass when the sun hits them from behind.
