This photo reminds me about our stay in Malá Strana district (meaning “Little Side (of the River)”) of Prague, Czech Republic. It was Daria who noticed this picturesque view on our way to the Prague Castle and Charles bridge, where I wanted to go for some photo shooting.
Old Town of Prague (Malá Strana district)
If you’ve seen photos of the world-known Astronomical Clock, then you probably know that it is situated at the Old Town Square. This area brings the charm of the medieval ages. Nowadays tourists from around the globe visit Prague Old Town, attracted by its well-preserved historic sights. When you cross the Charles bridge though, you will find yourself in a bit different world. Malá Strana is known for colorful streets and cozy cafés. However it is also a place with ornamental buildings in which are embassies.

Sometimes just a small detail or a tiny ornament could make the magic on an image. That’s what happened when we stopped there, at Malá Strana. We were enchanted by the morning light, which was illuminating the frescoes of the arch above the cobbled street. Pay attention to the car at the end of the street – a vehicle from the Communism times, a Lada or a Moskvitch perhaps, couldn’t see it very well from that distance.
There are several destinations in the world that are truly must-see places. The Old Town and Malá Strana of Prague are some of them.
