Berjaya Chalets | Langkawi, Malaysia

The Berjaya views have recently been coming to my mind. At times, I scroll through my photo archives to find this image to process it. This view of the Berjaya Chalets is very different though.

Did you maybe notice why?

The “secret” is that it is made from the air and of course, I didn’t climb a tree to create competition with the monkeys on Langkawi island! It was my first drone-flight that I experienced in Malaysia. I appreciated the Malaysian people that we met, as they seemed to be more open to drone photography in contrast to other European countries. I could fly freely over the coast undisturbed and enjoy this moment.

I was perplexed when I saw the results of the photos from the air on my screen and not just as a preview of what the drone captured. The Berjaya resort and the Langkawi island looked like paradise from this perspective and as I dream more about this place – who knows, maybe the time will come to return and take some new photos!
