Dubrovnik – city walls | Croatia

Many people ask themselves, “is it worth paying to enter the city walls of Dubrovnik?” For us, it was a curiosity after watching episodes of Games of Thrones. But seeing elements of “Kings Landing” was just one of the positives for getting around those city walls.

The city walls of Dubrovnik

Let’s be honest: Dubrovnik is probably one of the most expensive cities in Croatia. While you don’t have to pay for admission to the historic walled centre and to visit the main gate, Dubrovnik’s city walls are something else. Admission to them per person is about 30€. Whether it’s worth it or not, everyone has to answer for themselves.

The fact that we absolutely have to do this 1-2 hour walk in the full sun, was obvious. The city walls of Dubrovnik are entirely preserved/restored. This means that from their height you can admire the entire old city and to have a background of the photos Adriatic Sea or mountains surrounding Dubrovnik. Therefore, in our case, the suggested 2 hours dragged on… a lot due to Nico taking his camera with him.
