Burano is een eiland op slechts 7 kilometer van Veneti\u00eb, Itali\u00eb<\/a>. Je kunt er komen met de waterbus vanuit Veneti\u00eb (Vaporetto) of met de watertaxi. Hoewel Veneti\u00eb zelf een intense ervaring is waar je minimaal een paar dagen voor nodig hebt, is Burano zeker de moeite waard om ruimte voor te maken in je reisschema. <\/p>

<\/p>

Burano staat bekend om twee dingen: de weelderig gekleurde huizen en het kantklossen dat eind 15e eeuw begon. Maar waarom zijn deze huizen zo kleurrijk terwijl de gebouwen van het nabijgelegen Veneti\u00eb dat minder zijn? Het gerucht gaat dat vissers die in Burano woonden moeite hadden om hun huis te vinden als ze ‘s avonds terugkwamen van het vissen. Dankzij de kleuren konden ze onderscheiden waar hun haven was. Slaat deze verklaring ergens op? Ik weet het niet… Of misschien is dit kleurenparadijs gewoon het resultaat van het persoonlijke esthetische gevoel en de mode van de bewoners? <\/p>
