De Helix-brug in Singapore<\/a>; een ontwerp ge\u00efnspireerd op menselijk DNA. Dit was iets wat ik me heel moeilijk kon voorstellen, zelfs voordat ik het daadwerkelijk had gezien. Deze combinatie van wetenschap en architectuur verbaasde me enorm, en ik had het gevoel dat ik niet naar Berlijn<\/a> terug kon gaan zonder deze bijzondere compositie vast te leggen.<\/p>\n

Het perfecte uitzicht<\/h2>\n

Het is alweer meer dan drie jaar geleden dat we in Singapore<\/a> waren. Sindsdien heb ik deze foto in mijn hoofd verwerkt, maar ik wilde er ook met inspiratie aan beginnen. Tijdens mijn laatste bezoek aan Singapore<\/a> kostte het me bijna een uur om rond te lopen en de perfecte plek te vinden om alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden van Singapore<\/a> op de achtergrond van de Helix vast te leggen. Toen ik eenmaal het perfecte uitzicht had gevonden, kostte het nog een uur om de foto te maken zonder dat er voetgangers voorbij liepen, en dat tijdens de warme avond in april.<\/p>\n

De Helix in Singapore is een voetgangersbrug die het Marina Centre en Marina South met elkaar verbindt. Dankzij de bouw ervan in 2010 werd het eindelijk mogelijk om te voet helemaal rond Marina Bay<\/a> te lopen. De spiraalvormige delen van de brug staan symbool voor cytosine, guanine, adenine en thymine \u2013 allemaal bouwstenen van DNA. Over de hele brug zijn uitkijkplatforms. Zoals je op deze foto kunt zien, is het uitzicht adembenemend en kun je in \u00e9\u00e9n oogopslag het Marina Bay Sands Hotel<\/a> en het Art Science Museum zien.<\/p>\n

Zorg ervoor dat je er 's avonds minstens \u00e9\u00e9n keer overheen loopt als je eenmaal in Singapore bent \u2013 het is een unieke ervaring! Door de spiraalvormige lampjes lijkt het alsof je in een computerspel loopt en het lijkt wel alsof de ruimte je \u2018opslokt\u2019 zodra je de andere kant van de brug bereikt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
