Dat heb ik ook gedaan voor Thessaloniki in Griekenland, omdat ik me goed wilde voorbereiden op de onderwerpen voor mijn fotokunst.<\/p>\n<p><strong>De Witte Toren van Thessaloniki in het verleden<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wat ik heb geleerd over het symbool van de hoofdstad van de regio Macedoni\u00eb, is dat er in de oudheid op de plek van de <a href=\"https:\/\/sumfinity.com\/nl\/fotos\/griekenland\/thessaloniki-nl\/thessaloniki-white-tower-national-theater\/\">Witte Toren<\/a> een Byzantijnse vesting stond. In de 15e eeuw, toen de stad onder Ottomaans bewind kwam, werd het gebouw gebruikt als gevangenis en ook als plek voor massale executies, wat verklaart waarom het toen \u2018De Rode Toren\u2019 heette.<\/p>\n<p><strong>De transformatie van de Witte Toren van Thessaloniki<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Zodra de Grieken zich aan het begin van de 20e eeuw van de Ottomaanse overheersing hadden bevrijd, hebben ze het bouwwerk witgekalkt en de naam &#x27;De Witte Toren&#x27; gegeven, als een symbolische zuivering van de last van het verleden. Dit specifieke nachtelijke uitzicht op de toren is vastgelegd vanaf de Leof. Nikis-straat.<\/p>\n<p>Als je naar <a href=\"https:\/\/sumfinity.com\/category\/hdr-photos\/greece\/thessaloniki\/\">Thessaloniki in Griekenland<\/a> bent gereisd, heb je waarschijnlijk het Museum van de Waterfront bezocht, waarvan de collectie in de Witte Toren van Thessaloniki is ondergebracht.
