Sommige foto\u2019s maak je alsof het vanzelf gaat \u2013 snel en zonder aarzelen. Maar dat was niet het geval bij mijn fotoshoot van de Witte Toren en het Nationaal Theater in Thessaloniki.<\/p>\n

De Witte Toren van Thessaloniki<\/strong><\/p>\n

De Witte Toren, tegenwoordig een van de symbolen van Thessaloniki<\/a>, heeft een lange geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de 15e eeuw, toen de stad werd veroverd door het leger van sultan Murad II. Pas in 1912 wisten de Grieken de toren terug te veroveren.<\/p>\n

Het Nationaal Theater van Noord-Griekenland<\/strong><\/p>\n

Het Nationaal Theater in Thessaloniki, dat in 1961 werd opgericht door Sokratis Karantinos \u2013 de eerste directeur en tevens schrijver \u2013, biedt tegenwoordig veel meer dan alleen culturele en educatieve evenementen. Het is een geliefde locatie voor conferenties, tentoonstellingen en festivals van zowel lokaal als internationaal belang.<\/p>\n

Terug naar mijn verhaal en die lange avond, die ik doorbracht met ronddwalen bij de Witte Toren van Thessaloniki, terwijl Daria op een bankje vlakbij een boek zat te lezen. Dus liep ik heen en weer, in een poging de perfecte compositie vast te leggen bij het beste licht, wat er voor een buitenstaander misschien grappig uitzag.
