Tijdens onze reis naar <\/a>Singapore<\/a> ontdekten we dit juweeltje vlak aan de iconische kustlijn van Marina Bay<\/a>. Midden in een natuurpark dat op drooggelegd land is aangelegd, zijn onder adembenemende constructies van staal en glas twee kunstmatige biotopen gecre\u00eberd. De foto die je hier ziet, is genomen in het oostelijke gebouw, dat het \u2018cloud forest\u2019 wordt genoemd.<\/p>\n

Ik ben meer dan tevreden met deze foto<\/h2>\n

Heb je ooit gehoord van een nevelwoud<\/a>? Als je dat, net als ik, niet kent: het is een soort tropisch of subtropisch regenwoud dat meestal op grotere hoogte ligt en waar vaak lage bewolking of mist hangt. Dit nevelwoud in Singapore<\/a> is veruit het grootste kunstmatige nevelwoud ter wereld. In tegenstelling tot de rest van Singapore, waar het over het algemeen erg warm en benauwd was, verwelkomde het nevelwoud ons met een aangename koelte, wat meer bij onze Midden-Europese smaak paste. Zo konden we even afkoelen en een beetje ontspannen.<\/p>\n

Op de foto zie je de 42 meter hoge kunstmatige berg en het uitkijkpad, dat een adembenemend uitzicht biedt op dit natuurspektakel. Ik kan alleen maar hopen dat ik zo\u2019n uitzicht ooit in een echt nevelwoud kan vastleggen, maar tot die tijd ben ik meer dan tevreden met deze foto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
