Amsterdam<\/a> heeft drie rosse buurten, maar die in het centrum van de stad is de bekendste. Het is niet alleen een plek waar prostituees hun werk doen. Het is ook een deel van de stad waar je populaire coffeeshops, seksshops, bioscopen, theaters, bars en eetgelegenheden kunt vinden.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Rode Lichtwijken \u2013 entertainment en gezelschap<\/strong><\/h2>\n

De geschiedenis van de rosse buurt in Amsterdam begint rond de 14e eeuw. Dit deel van Amsterdam lag toen vlak bij de oude haven. Emigranten die naar Nederland<\/a> kwamen, vonden juist op deze plek een thuis. Door de nabijheid van de haven kwamen zeelieden naar deze wijk op zoek naar vermaak en gezelschap. Dit was een geschikte plek om een prostitutiebedrijf te starten. Hoewel prostitutie in Nederland pas sinds 2000 legaal is, was de rosse buurt al eeuwenlang een plek voor seksuele avonturen.<\/p>\n

Tegenwoordig zie je prostituees die zichzelf tentoonstellen in meer dan 3000 etalages in de Wallen in Amsterdam<\/a>. Hoewel het verboden is om foto\u2019s te maken van die \u2018winkeltjes\u2019, mag je wel de algemene architectuur van de hoofdstad van Nederland<\/a> fotograferen.<\/p>\n
