King Ludwig II of Bavaria found an ideal place to build a fairytale Neuschwanstein. The white facades of the castle blend in with the landscape of the alpine peaks on the one hand, and the romantic architecture distinguishes the castle from the untamed nature of the Alps on the other.
Schwangau municipally and Alps
The day after we visited Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, we started exploring the surroundings of Schwangau municipally. This allowed us to discover several places from which the view of the Alps was spectacular. This afternoon we decided to have a picnic on a meadow with the best view of Neuschwanstein. Suddenly the sky over the mountains became cloudy and a rainbow “floated” on one of the slopes of the mountains. As you can expect, you did not have to ask Nico twice to take his camera out of his backpack.
