Le S-Bahn et Berlin. Une relation amour-haine, plus que toute autre chose. On a besoin du S-Bahn juste pour aller d\u2019un point A \u00e0 un point B, mais d\u00e8s qu\u2019on peut, on pr\u00e9f\u00e8re prendre le m\u00e9tro.<\/p>\n

M\u00eame le design des rames du S-Bahn (en surface) est loin d\u2019\u00eatre aussi attrayant que la couleur orange caract\u00e9ristique des rames du U-Bahn berlinois<\/a> (sous terre). Pas \u00e9tonnant, donc, que le S-Bahn n\u2019ait pas trouv\u00e9 beaucoup d\u2019adeptes parmi les photographes ? Eh bien, je me suis dit qu\u2019il \u00e9tait temps de changer \u00e7a. Et s\u2019il y a bien une sc\u00e8ne de m\u00e9tro typique de Berlin<\/a>, c\u2019est celle des trains qui serpentent \u00e0 travers le centre-ville. Comme tu peux le voir sur cette image : ils arrivent vers le centre depuis la partie est de la ville.<\/p>\n

Le S-Bahn est exploit\u00e9 par la Deutsche Bahn<\/a>, la compagnie ferroviaire nationale allemande. Il se compose de 15 lignes, couvrant une distance de plus de 330 kilom\u00e8tres, avec plus de 160 stations. Les trains sont \u00e9lectriques et circulent sur un troisi\u00e8me rail, les cat\u00e9naires n\u2019\u00e9tant utilis\u00e9es qu\u2019\u00e0 certains endroits.<\/p>\n

L'une des particularit\u00e9s du S-Bahn \u00e0 Berlin est qu'il a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le important pendant la Guerre froide, puisqu'il reliait Berlin-Ouest \u00e0 l'Allemagne<\/a> de l'Ouest. Pendant la division de Berlin, le S-Bahn \u00e9tait s\u00e9par\u00e9 en deux parties, l'une sous le contr\u00f4le du gouvernement est-allemand et l'autre sous celui du gouvernement ouest-allemand.<\/p>\n

Aujourd'hui, le S-Bahn est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel de l'infrastructure de transport de la ville, reliant de nombreux sites importants et destinations touristiques de Berlin, comme la porte de Brandebourg, le m\u00e9morial du mur de Berlin et le quartier commer\u00e7ant de la Friedrichstra\u00dfe.
