Son unos azulejos de colores que se usan para decorar edificios, palacios, iglesias, colegios, etc. Suelen tener diferentes formas y tonos. Por eso nos sorprendi\u00f3 mucho descubrir que, en realidad, el objetivo principal de los azulejos era pr\u00e1ctico y no decorativo.<\/p>\n<h2>Azulejo<\/h2>\n<p>La palabra \u00abazulejo\u00bb proviene del \u00e1rabe y significa b\u00e1sicamente \u00abpiedras pulidas\u00bb. Estas piedras se utilizaban para revestir edificios, con el fin de regular la temperatura interior durante los meses de verano e invierno. El azulejo se inspir\u00f3 en los mosaicos bizantinos y romanos, con influencias persas, representadas por curvas y motivos florales. Los azulejos eran populares sobre todo en Italia (Liguria), Espa\u00f1a y Portugal. M\u00e1s tarde, se \u00abextendieron\u00bb a las colonias espa\u00f1olas y portuguesas. La edad de oro de la producci\u00f3n de azulejos fue en el siglo XVIII, cuando comenz\u00f3 la producci\u00f3n en masa para satisfacer la demanda de una colonia portuguesa: Brasil.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy en d\u00eda, Portugal es especialmente conocido por sus azulejos de cer\u00e1mica esmaltados. No solo cubren edificios hist\u00f3ricos, sino tambi\u00e9n casas modernas, restaurantes y bares, etc. En el centro de Lisboa encontrar\u00e1s muchos fabricantes que siguen creando <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Azulejo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">azulejos<\/a>. Y, adem\u00e1s de los motivos florales y figurativos, todav\u00eda puedes ver muchas composiciones de azulejos que representan la historia portuguesa o simplemente escenas id\u00edlicas de la vida cotidiana.<\/p>\n<p>Una vez vimos un mosaico precioso durante nuestra excursi\u00f3n de <a href=\"https:\/\/sumfinity.com\/es\/travellisboa-2\/\">Lisboa<\/a> a Cascais. El Chafariz de Pa\u00e7o de Arcos \u2014\u00abLa antigua fuente de Pa\u00e7o de Arcos\u00bb\u2014 era exactamente nuestro estilo favorito de azulejo. Presentaba pinturas en azul y blanco que combinaban a la perfecci\u00f3n con el cielo azul sobre <a href=\"https:\/\/sumfinity.com\/es\/fotos\/portugal-es\/lisboa\/museo-de-arte-arquitectura-y-tecnologia-maat-lisboa-portugal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">la soleada Lisboa<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Si alguna vez has estado en Portugal, probablemente conozcas bien el &#8220;Azulejo&#8221;.
