Probablemente ya est\u00e9s familiarizado con la forma de este edificio si alguna vez has visto art\u00edculos que te animan a visitar la capital de <a href=\"https:\/\/sumfinity.com\/es\/travelqatar\/\">Qatar<\/a>: Doha. No es de extra\u00f1ar: la arquitectura de este edificio, que combina elementos de la antigua arquitectura isl\u00e1mica y un moderno dise\u00f1o geom\u00e9trico, refleja con bastante acierto el esp\u00edritu del lugar.  <\/p><p>Como muchos lugares de inter\u00e9s de Doha, el Museo de Arte Isl\u00e1mico es una construcci\u00f3n bastante moderna. Pues bien, el museo de Doha no abri\u00f3 sus puertas al p\u00fablico hasta diciembre de 2008. Si no lo supi\u00e9ramos, probablemente pensar\u00edamos que la MIA permanece en la costa de la Corniche al menos unas d\u00e9cadas m\u00e1s. Aunque el museo en s\u00ed parece nuevo y bien mantenido, los elementos isl\u00e1micos tradicionales pueden estar ocultando la verdadera antig\u00fcedad del monumento.   <\/p><p>El arquitecto del Museo de Arte Isl\u00e1mico fue contratado para este proyecto cuando ya estaba jubilado. De hecho, I.M. Pei ten\u00eda entonces 91 a\u00f1os. Tras emprender el dise\u00f1o de esta estructura, empez\u00f3 a viajar durante 6 meses por los pa\u00edses \u00e1rabes. Durante este tiempo profundiz\u00f3 en la historia y los textos isl\u00e1micos en busca de inspiraci\u00f3n para su obra. En consecuencia, la mezquita de Ibn Tulun de El Cairo, que data del siglo IX, fue la mayor influencia en la arquitectura final de la MIA.    <\/p><p>El Museo de Arte Isl\u00e1mico est\u00e1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mia.org.qa\/en\/about\/the-museum-building\">situado en una isla artificial cerca del puerto tradicional de dhow de Qatar<\/a>. Por desgracia, no pudimos visitar el museo propiamente dicho durante nuestra estancia en Doha, pero s\u00ed pudimos admirar su arquitectura desde el paseo mar\u00edtimo a distintas horas del d\u00eda y de la noche.<\/p><h3>Sobre la foto<\/h3><p><em>&#8220;La mayor\u00eda de las fotos que encuentras est\u00e1n tomadas hacia la entrada.
