\u201ePorto Arabia\u201c<\/strong> ist eine der Attraktionen von \u201eThe Pearl\u201c<\/strong><\/a>, die auf deiner Liste der Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten in Doha auf keinen Fall fehlen sollte. Allein die Tatsache, dass das gesamte Viertel \u201eThe Pearl\u201c k\u00fcnstlich angelegt wurde (diese Halbinsel gab es vorher auf keiner Karte), verdient Beachtung und einen Besuch.<\/p>\n

Das gesamte Projekt \u201eThe Pearl Qatar\u201c erstreckt sich \u00fcber eine Fl\u00e4che von vier Millionen Quadratmetern, die dem Meer abgewonnen wurde. \u201eThe Arab Riviera\u201c ist in drei Stadtteile unterteilt. Auf einem von Nicos Fotos siehst du einen davon \u2013 das \u201eQanat Quartier\u201c, das t\u00e4uschend echt an Venedig erinnert. Der zweite, \u201eMedina Centrale\u201c, ist bekannt f\u00fcr seine G\u00e4rten, Caf\u00e9s, Restaurants und Gesch\u00e4fte. Und nat\u00fcrlich wurde das malerische \u201ePorto Arabia\u201c von der mediterranen Architektur inspiriert.<\/p>\n

\u201ePorto Arabia\u201c in The Pearl-Qatar strebt nach dem luxuri\u00f6sen Lebensstil des Mittelmeers und verbindet ihn mit arabischem Flair. Entlang des Hafens<\/a> reihen sich Hochh\u00e4user mit luxuri\u00f6sen Wohnungen aneinander. Der Ausblick wird durch die im Yachthafen vor Anker liegenden Yachten abgerundet.<\/p>\n

Wir hatten die letzten Tage im eher historischen Viertel von Doha verbracht, daher gab uns der Anblick von \u201ePorto Arabia\u201c das Gef\u00fchl, ein bisschen mehr \u201ewestlich\u201c zu sein. Au\u00dferdem fanden wir ein paar Restaurants und Lebensmittelgesch\u00e4fte mit Produkten, die wir aus Europa gewohnt sind. Ich wei\u00df, das ist ein bisschen geschummelt und wir sollten uns eigentlich an eine neue Kultur gew\u00f6hnen, aber\u2026 an diesem Tag haben wir einfach die vertrauten Aromen vermisst.<\/p>\n
