Det er ogs\u00e5 den n\u00e6stst\u00f8rste bygning i hele Island! Denne 74 meter h\u00f8je kirke kan ses fra n\u00e6sten alle steder i Reykjav\u00edk og g\u00f8r det nemt at finde rundt i Islands hovedstad.<\/p>\n<h2>Hallgrimur-kirken<\/h2>\n<p>Denne kirke blev tegnet i 1937 af arkitekten Gu\u00f0j\u00f3n Sam\u00faelsson, der hentede inspiration fra ekspressionismen (der blev ogs\u00e5 bygget en kirke i denne stil i Danmark \u2013 Nico har ogs\u00e5 foreviget den p\u00e5 <a href=\"https:\/\/sumfinity.com\/da\/fotos\/danmark\/koebenhavn\/grundtvigs-kirke-kobenhavn-danmark\/\">billedet<\/a>). Arkitekturen skulle minde om klipperne, bjergene og gletscherne i det islandske landskab. Byggeriet tog 45 \u00e5r \u2013 Hallgr\u00edmskirkja blev f\u00f8rst indviet i 1986. I begyndelsen skulle denne lutherske kirke have v\u00e6ret lavere, men dens overordnede \u00f8nskede at opf\u00f8re et bygningsv\u00e6rk, der ville v\u00e6re mere imponerende end Landakot, den katolske kirke i Reykjav\u00edk.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Normalt bliver denne kirke i Reykjav\u00edk fotograferet set forfra.
