Tallinns skyline ved solopgang er et syn af kirket\u00e5rne, r\u00f8de tegltage og \u00e5rhundreder gamle bymure i en af Nordeuropas bedst bevarede middelalderbyer.<\/p>

Tallinn v\u00e5gner langsomt og s\u00e6rdeles tidligt, men det er v\u00e6rd at v\u00e6re v\u00e5gen for at opleve det. For at tage dette billede stod jeg op kl. 3.30, og allerede da var himlen ved at klare op. Det var de sm\u00e5, uventede detaljer som denne, der overraskede mig ved Tallinn, og jeg er glad for, at det var s\u00e5dan, jeg tilbragte min f\u00f8rste morgen der.<\/p>

F\u00e6nomenet \u00bbde hvide n\u00e6tter\u00ab i Tallinn<\/h2>

Et af de mest ekstraordin\u00e6re tr\u00e6k ved Tallinns skyline ved solopgang er, at solen st\u00e5r op omkring kl. 4 om morgenen og f\u00f8rst g\u00e5r ned t\u00e6t p\u00e5 kl. 11 om aftenen, hvor den overg\u00e5r til en kortvarig tusm\u00f8rke i stedet for totalt m\u00f8rke.<\/p>

Dette f\u00e6nomen, der kaldes hvide n\u00e6tter, er s\u00e6rligt magisk for fotografer, da det giver en solopgang, der varer i timevis i stedet for blot nogle f\u00e5 minutter. Himlen skifter gennem flere farvenuancer, inden solen er helt oppe, hvilket giver dig rigelig tid til at afpr\u00f8ve forskellige vinkler og kompositioner.<\/p>

Andre europ\u00e6iske byer byder p\u00e5 deres egen version af de hvide n\u00e6tter om sommeren, herunder Skt. Petersborg, Helsinki, Stockholm, Reykjavik<\/a> og Riga. Men Tallinn byder p\u00e5 noget helt s\u00e6rligt: hvide n\u00e6tter oplevet med en n\u00e6sten intakt middelalderlig skyline som baggrund.<\/p>

Tallinns skyline ved solopgang fra Toompea-bakken<\/h2>

Intet sted afsl\u00f8rer Tallinns skyline sig mere fuldst\u00e6ndigt end fra Toompeas kalkstensh\u00f8jder. Jeg havde udspejdet dette udsigtspunkt dagen f\u00f8r, og jeg vidste, at den opg\u00e5ende sol ville st\u00e5 pr\u00e6cis overfor den gamle mur og t\u00e5rnene, der omgiver den nedre del af den gamle bydel.<\/p>

Toompea er den kalkstensh\u00f8j i hjertet af Tallinns gamle bydel, der fungerer som en naturlig forh\u00f8jet platform, hvor magtens s\u00e6de i Estland har ligget i n\u00e6sten tusind \u00e5r.<\/p>

For fotografer og bes\u00f8gende byder bakken p\u00e5 to udsigtsplatforme. Den ene er Kohtuotsa p\u00e5 bakkens nordside, hvorfra der er panoramaudsigt over den gamle bys terrakottafarvede tagrygge, spirene p\u00e5 Sankt Olavs Kirke og havnen i det fjerne.<\/p>

P\u00e5 den anden side ligger Patkuli-udsigtsplatformen, mindre end 200 meter derfra, vendt mod nord mod havnen og de middelalderlige t\u00e5rne, hvorfra der er en uhindret udsigt over bymurene. Det var fra Patkuli-udsigtsplatformen, at jeg tog dette billede af Tallinns skyline ved solopgang.<\/p>

Toompea er hjemsted for det estiske parlament, der har til huse i Toompea-slottet, samt flere udenlandske ambassader, Alexander Nevsky-katedralen med sine markante l\u00f8gkupler og St. Mary\u2019s-katedralen, den \u00e6ldste kirke p\u00e5 det estiske fastland.<\/p>

Og hvis du g\u00e5r en tur rundt i den gamle bydel, efter at du har fotograferet Tallinns skyline ved solopgang, vil jeg anbefale dig at kigge forbi Frihedspladsen.
